Introduction

The Raid Saga is a CUTSMITH Preservation Edition that unifies The Raid and The Raid 2 into one continuous cinematic experience. Rather than treating the two films as separate entries, this project presents Rama's complete journey as a single, uninterrupted narrative while preserving the identity, pacing, and artistic intent of Gareth Evans' original films.

The objective has never been to replace the originals or alter their vision. Instead, the project focuses on improving narrative continuity through careful editorial reconstruction, allowing the transition between both films to feel natural without compromising their individual strengths.

Every editorial decision follows the core principles of CUTSMITH: Preservation Over Alteration, Continuity Over Novelty, and Invisible Editing. Any modifications exist solely to enhance the viewing experience while remaining respectful to the original storytelling.

The Raid Saga celebrates one of modern cinema's most influential action stories by presenting it in a form that reflects its natural progression—from survival to consequence, from duty to sacrifice, and from one mission to the next.

As a released preservation project, The Raid Saga represents the current definitive CUTSMITH presentation. Should future official restorations or higher-quality source material become available, any future revisions will continue to prioritize authenticity, preservation, and respect for the original work.
